Jessica copyJessica Ruano (Writer/Director) is an Ottawa-based theatre director, producer, and writer. She has an M.A. in Theatre Theory and Dramaturgy from the University of Ottawa, and she wrote her thesis on new works of theatre that have toured the Canadian festival circuit. In 2013, she directed the London premiere of Sappho…in 9 fragments, applauded for its aerial scenography, that played to sold out houses and toured across Canada and to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She was the recipient of the 2017 International Women’s Day Femmy Award for Media for her work on The Ghomeshi Effect.

AmeliaAmelia Griffin (Choreographer) is an Ottawa/Gatineau–based contemporary dance artist, active in Ottawa’s artistic community since graduating from The School of Dance in Ballet and Contemporary dance in 2006. As a dancer, Amelia is a company member with integrated dance company Propeller Dance, Franco-Ontarian dance company Tara Luz Danse, Gatineau-based dance company Dorsale Danse, and theatre company Platypus Theatre. In her own choreographic work, Amelia has presented at notable venues around the city: La Nouvelle Scène, National Arts Centre’s 4th stage, and Arts Court Theatre. As an artist, Amelia’s intention is to create art that questions our society’s norms, engages audience through movement, and provides healing and thought-provoking moments.

z1391687_239448826210943_526013176_nBenoît Brunet-Poirier (Lighting Design) est diplômé du Department de théâtre de l’Université d’Ottawa. Il a remporté le prix MECCA 2009 pour une conception sonore faite pour le théâtre In Actu et la Bourse Patrick-Leroux du Théâtre la Catapulte pour son implication au sein de nombreuses productions du Départment du théâtre.

Benoît a participé au montage ou à la supervision technique de plusieurs spectacles à La Nouvelle Scène. Il a remporté le Prix Rideau 2015 pour la scénographie-vidéo de Cinéma (Théâtre la Catapulte, Théâtre Belvédère).

martinMartin Dawagne (Sound Design) started working as a composer/ sound-designer since his relocation to Canada, after four years of touring across Europe. His favorite collaborations include Perfect Pie (Cart Before the Horse Theatre Company), Charly dans le Désert (Créations In Vivo), and, of course, The Ghomeshi Effect. He is also the creator of Yarns, his “one-man-band-fund-raising-project”, with which he performs frequently. He is also currently composing the soundscape for Le Cheval de Bleu (Théatre de la Vielle 17 Voyageurs Immobiles).

zack1.jpgZack McDougall (Tour Manager) is an Ottawa-based audio and lighting technician, and an avid touring musician. With 10 years of audio and live events under his belt, Zack has worked with the likes of Chris Hadfield, Mary Walsh, and a large variety of live touring acts. In 2017, Zack made his debut into the theatre scene, touring as the technical director for the controversial Mary Walsh production Canada, It’s Complicated, which toured from coast to coast to coast across the nation.
